Singer/songwriter
Jackson Browne, two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will
perform at the 20th Annual
NON-COMMvention, May 12-15 in Philadelphia.
As of Monday (3.16.20), the NONCOMM is still scheduled to happen.
According
to a post on Paul Marszalek’s blog TheTop22
[link], NONCOMM organizers and the University of Pennsylvania are monitoring COVID–19
advisories.

Browne
has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular
music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and
personal politics.
Other
artists and groups scheduled to appear at the 20th Annual NON-COMMvention include: Bruce Hornsby, Mandy Moore,
Liz Phair, Steve Earle, Jarvis Cocker, Leif Vollebekk and Sudan Archives. Jason
Isbell will be featured in the Thursday afternoon NON-COMMversation with Dan
Reed.
PMJA ANNOUNCES WEBINAR FOR
MEMBERS ABOUT COVID-19 COVERAGE
The
Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA) has scheduled a webinar for its
members featuring two station leaders who have been on the front lines of the
COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will happen this coming Thursday, March 19 at
2:00 pm ET.
Both
presenters are based in Seattle. Attendees will hear from Jill Jackson
from KUOW and Florangela Davila from
KNKX. The two newsrooms are working tirelessly and fearlessly as the number of
those infected with COVID-19 continues to rise.
The
webinar is free for PMJA Members, but they must register. Additional

In
other COVID-19 news, PBS has canceled both of its major spring conferences. The
canceled conferences are PBS TechCon scheduled for April 15–17 in Las Vegas,
and the PBS Annual Meeting in Seattle scheduled for May 11–13.
