Singer/songwriter Jackson Browne, two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will perform at the 20th Annual NON-COMMvention, May 12-15 in Philadelphia.  As of Monday (3.16.20), the NONCOMM is still scheduled to happen.

According to a post on Paul Marszalek’s blog TheTop22 [link], NONCOMM organizers and the University of Pennsylvania are monitoring COVID–19 advisories.

Keep checking TheTop22 and Spark News for updates.

Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics.

Other artists and groups scheduled to appear at the 20th Annual NON-COMMvention include: Bruce Hornsby, Mandy Moore, Liz Phair, Steve Earle, Jarvis Cocker, Leif Vollebekk and Sudan Archives. Jason Isbell will be featured in the Thursday afternoon NON-COMMversation with Dan Reed.

PMJA ANNOUNCES WEBINAR FOR MEMBERS ABOUT COVID-19 COVERAGE

The Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA) has scheduled a webinar for its members featuring two station leaders who have been on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar will happen this coming Thursday, March 19 at 2:00 pm ET.

Both presenters are based in Seattle. Attendees will hear from Jill Jackson from  KUOW and Florangela Davila from KNKX. The two newsrooms are working tirelessly and fearlessly as the number of those infected with COVID-19 continues to rise.

The webinar is free for PMJA Members, but they must register. Additional information is available here.

In other COVID-19 news, PBS has canceled both of its major spring conferences. The canceled conferences are PBS TechCon scheduled for April 15–17 in Las Vegas, and the PBS Annual Meeting in Seattle scheduled for May 11–13.
