I am a consultant who specializes in noncommercial radio and public media.  I’ve been doing this fulltime since 1997.  Over the years I’ve become familiar with a few other consultants whose work I admire. This is the first of an occasional series about THE CONSULTANTS.

GOODRATINGS is the creation of Alan Mason, John Frost, Dave Senes and Tommy Kramer (not the quarterback).  Mason and Frost have been together since the 1990s starting at Paxson Communications. Mason is also COO at EMF Broadcasting, distributor of the ubiquitous K-LOVE.

Though I am not a Christian myself, I like to listen to CCM stations like KTIS in Minneapolis/St. Paul.  It is all about the programming MOMENTUM – the intangible glue that keeps listeners present anticipating something they like will happen next.

GOODRATINGS’ stations bring value to their listeners.  This is what causes listeners to become members – the engine that makes noncommercial radio work.
