SPRING RATINGS: SPOKANE, DES MOINES, MADISON

Frequent readers note: I had more eye surgery this week.  It went fine. Because of this, I am not writing as much this week. I should be back at 100% next week.  FYI, Ken.

RRC continues to release Spring 2015 data for Nielsen Audio Diary markets. Here are three great noncom markets:

KPBX and sister station KSFC feed the NPR News craving. Old-school Classical station KAGU, from Gonzaga, doesn’t buy the data but probably has significant listening.

KPBS also operates KPBZ – 24/7 PRX Remix. There doesn’t seem by much listening to it despite solid metro coverage:

Where are the classical listeners in Des Moines?  KSUI-FM, based in Iowa City, is the flagship for Iowa Public Radio’s Classical network. IPR has at least half a dozen repeaters and translators serving Des Moines. Other noncoms that don’t buy the data but likely have signification listening are Triple A KFMG and Urban Contemporary KJMC.
