KKJZ & KSDS LEAD ONE-YEAR JAZZ STATION LISTENER TRENDS




Jazz vibes are rocking in Southern California! KKJZ, Los Angeles and KSDS, San Diego had major gains in estimated weekly listeners according to Nielsen Audio PPM ratings for Fall 2015 compared with Fall 2014.



KSDS had the largest percentage gain – 33% - and KKJZ had the numerical gain – up 138,000       weekly cumulative listeners.  Congratulations to the folks at both stations.

We are now tracking 16 jazz format stations in the PPM markets.  Three are dual formats; 13 are fulltime jazz. Of the 13 fulltime jazz stations, 9 (69%) were up and 4 (31%) lost weekly listeners. (Scroll down to see the results for all 16 stations.

  1. WICN Worcester isn't really a Boston station, but I thought they did show up in the Boston PPM ratings...?
