TRIPLE A: JANUARY NIELSEN AUDIO AQH & TRENDS

In the January PPM AQH, the majority of Triple A noncoms dropped slightly or stayed the same from November 2014. (I don’t use the Nielsen Audio holiday month numbers for comparisons.)

Two of the three biggest gainers were in Austin: KUTX led the nation in increased share. KDRP – a tasty blend of Americana and alt-Country continues to grow despite partial market coverage.  WERS in Boston is an amazing noncom success story.

The declines in AQH at WTMD and KKXT appear to be wobbles (an insider radio term.)  The decline at WCBE is most likely caused by the increased NPR News completion from WOSU.  In a perfect world, WCBE would go all Triple A now.
